That's enough of Neil Young. Ok, we can never have enough of Neil but why exactly have we got Harvest Moon in our head? Well, in the small hours of Tuesday 25th September, the UK skies will light up with the Full Harvest Moon.

Why Harvest Moon

It is the first full moon that takes place closest to the Autumn Equinox, and comes from a time when farmers would need to start gathering in crops to prepare for the winter months. They used the bright light to extend the working day. Other names for this moon are the Wine Moon, the Elk Call Moon and the Singing Moon.

We can only hope that the skies are clear and we can fully take in the spectacle of this beautiful sight. However, we will be taking on the name Wine Moon, and celebrating accordingly with this playing...
